So those closest to me know that I have had a love affair with facebook. I have been in heaven meeting up with old friends and classmates. I have been able to meet a special man, meet up with very dear friends who were like family to me growing up, and a few people you forgot about but were delighted to reconnect with, and last but not least the friends you already have who give pertinent immediate information we need.
In the last few months I have been very occupied doing other things. Since I am rarely on Facebook it started to lose its appeal. Anyone who reads this will be shocked as I spent absurd amounts of time on there. I have seen the ugly side to this and am not sure what to make of it. I have some people who really are just acquaintances from my home town or school who are back stabbing me for no reason, I have people who bash others views, I have people who bash the one thing I love the most and that is the gospel. Now the question is should I just block these people or stick up for what I know is right? My first thought was to tell them off. My second thought was to just block them. My third thought was to address issues in a very nice way without offending. My idea was to be the bigger person and maybe this will peak interest in the gospel, change a view to be more accepting of others views, or to show hurtful people we believe forgiveness is essential to our own growth and happiness.
Anyway, its just goes to show that people dont think before they write. There are people from all walks of life on my friends list and I accepted them unconditionally because I care about each one individually because that is who Machelle truly is...!

Hey lady! Thanks for the compliment on my blog. I need to find you after our ward lets out and give you a huge hug.:):):)
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind, I'm gonna start "blog stalking" you. hehehehehe
Okay, on to my facebook comment....I've had to block a few people for the very reasons you are having issues with. Don't feel bad if you do chose to do that. We can't control other people's choices, only our own. And if others are bringing you down via facebook, then are they really your "friends"?:):):)
