Hootin It Up

So I finished owls sweater. I couldnt decide whether to put buttons on or not. I went with my gut and put the buttons on and I love it.
Pattern: OWLS SWEATER by Kate Davies
Size: xxl
Yarn: Rowan Tweed bought from RobinM's stash and Ebay.
Color: red/pink family with yellow and blue specks thus its called a "tweed" yarn

Modifications: I tried to make the body longer but I guess I didnt make it long enough. When I blocked it I made it longer and i like it a lot better. The neck is too open for me so I will be adding two inches to the neck this week. Also shortened the sleeves of this sweater but when I blocked it, they were too long. I am going to steam them and reshape them along with the extra two inches of the neck I will be adding.

My overall experience with this was it was great. I enjoyed using this yarn, and it was a bulky yarn which made this knit very fast, and I LOVED it more after it was washed. I will be using this yarn again. The pattern was easy to follow I ripped several times because I wasnt paying attention and... because I have been pretty preoccupied lately.

This is my first official finished knit project for 2010. Hopefully there will be a whole bunch more.
